Each container has a Stackable Service Manager which allows you to see the state of processes running on your container and to start or stop a process, such as the container's web server. The Stackable Service Manager also watches for processes which have terminated unexpectedly and it attempts to restart them.

The Service Manager can be accessed through the Stackable Control Panel under your container.

To bring a web server down for an extended period, click Disable monitoring and then Stop service. Otherwise, the Service Manager will notice the problem and attempt to correct it.
