If you are comfortable with SSH and a linux terminal, you can do this a little faster than the beginners guide described below:

  • Connect to your container via SSH and issue the following commands

[user@c-yourContainerName ~]$ wget http://piwik.org/latest.zip

[user@c-yourContainerName ~]$ unzip latest.zip -d ~/sites/yourDomain.com_verX/doc_root/ 

  • Add a database to your account in the Stackable Dashboard
  • To begin the installation and configuration, In a web browser, browse to the folder that you placed Piwik. i.e. http://www.yoursite.com/piwik/

  • For info on how to generate statistics with Piwik, please read this article on the Piwik.org site: http://piwik.org/docs/javascript-tracking/
